The key to high-level performance and emotional strength lies in the relationship between one’s internal cognition and external expression.
We help to make this relationship a top priority.
Our mission is to improve and enhance the performance, mental capacity, and the emotional and mental health of law enforcement officers and public safety employees through the use of neuroscience, psychology, and metacognitive science.
We strive to improve the quality of policing, strengthen the relationship between police and the public, and subsequently promote trust that leads to the mitigation of crime.

COGNITIVE POLICING
A NEW APPROACH TO LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING
-
Our training is a combination of cognition and situational awareness. We believe that the application of metacognition to the trained thought processes of law enforcement officers allows for greater awareness of the self and therefore greater awareness of the environment.
-
We use behavioral psychology to teach first responders how to develop a relationship between one’s internal cognition and external expression, as the two as irrevocably linked.
-
How an individual acts must first be determined by their thought processes; henceforth an analysis of an individual's behavior can provide insight into that individual’s thoughts and emotions.
WHY SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED WITH HUMAN BIOLOGY WHEN TRAINING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS?

COGNITIVE CAPACITY: AN APPROACH FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

DE-ESCALATION TRAINING
Learn how to use the behavioral scale to assess a patient’s level of agitation, detect its early stages, and maintain cooperation.
Learn how to mitigate the risk of impulsive, hostile, and uncontrollable behaviors, and avoid coercive interventions that escalate agitation.
Learn how to help manage people’s emotions and regain control of their behaviors.
Neuropsychological dissociations between "vision-for-perception" and "vision-for-action" often leads to unconscious motor behaviors, which can contribute to unlawful and controversial police encounters.
